MMG XI thrashed 2-0 by Smokin Aces

Today Smokin Aces won 2-0 against MMG XI.

In the first match,
After winning the toss and electing to bat MMG XI were all out for 59 runs in 11.4 Overs. Vinay Gadagi was the pick of the bowlers with a superb bowling performance of 3/13.

In Reply Smokin Aces started in a fine fashion with a opening wicket stand of 43 between Subbu (23 6x1,4x2) and Vishal (13 6x1,4x1) and took away the match from MMG XI. After their departure Rohit (17* 6x1 4x1) took up the task of finishing the game and finsihed it with a stylish pull to the boundary. Smokin Aces won the first match by a staggering 8 wickets.

In the second match,
Again MMG XI won the toss and elected to bat first. This time they started pretty aggresively and looked very much in control. After 4 overs they were 41-1 and were looking very strong of crossing the 3 digit barrier. A great spell from Nikhil (3/5) changed their fortunes. They ended up at 75/9 in 10 overs. Vinay Gadagi supported well with (2/12)

In reply the Smokin' Aces openers Sandeep and Rahul started aggressively and posted a 31 run opening partnership which helped the team gain initial momentum. Sandeep hit a superb six to deep midwicket and two boundaries in his score of 21. Later on Nikhil & Vikram took up the responsibility. Nikhil played a brilliantly scripted innings and showed tremendous temperment in his 27* (6x1,4x3) thus guiding Aces to win in 8 overs with 8 wkts in hand.

Smokin' Aces again proved that they are a tough nut to crack.
